Having Buildings and Contents insurance means your house and your possessions are protected. It covers loss or damage to your property and belongings in the case of fire, theft, and other unforeseen events.
Buildings insurance covers the physical structure such as the floor, the walls and the roof. Whereas contents insurance covers what can reasonably be removed. As a general rule, if you tipped the property upside down and gave it a little shake, it would be your contents that would fall out!
